Giving CAF fresh B2B acquisition ideas


The Challenge

Many UK charities turn to CAF for sector knowledge and insight. However, they tend to be less aware of CAF’s wider offering. This includes services such as ‘CAF Donate’ a rival to the JustGiving platform that helps charities fundraise online without a hefty processing fee. CAF needed ideas to help shape their future marketing plans and activity.

The Solution

Loveable designed and ran an ‘Acquisition Hack Day’ focused on recruiting more charities to the CAF donate platform. Tapping into our ‘Friends of Loveable’ network we invited specialists including a behavioural economist, charity media planner and creative director to spend the day workshopping with the CAF Donate team. The outputs of the Acquisition Hack Day would then be scored and turned into a set of strategic recommendations for the CAF team.

The Results

As a result of the Acquisition Hack Day the clients were able to immediately implement changes to their marketing comms to deliver more effective marketing. A set of longer-term initiatives were also put into place by the CAF team based on Loveable’s strategic recommendations.
